Bidens ferulifolia Campfire® Marshmallow™

Bidens ferulifolia Campfire® Marshmallow™

Campfire® Marshmallow Bidens  is vigorous, heat tolerant and can tolerate some drought stress. The large, pure white flowers  surround a golden yellow center. The flowers are larger than Campfire Flame and will be a great summer performer. Strong heat tolerance and pure white, self-cleaning flowers are the highlights of this all-season bloomer. Large blossoms on densely mounded plants are highly attractive to pollinators.

This new pure white bidens adds a cool touch to full sun landscapes and containers from spring to fall. A showy tuft of gold in the center of each blossom draws in pollinating bees and the petals shed cleanly once spent, leaving the plant with a tidy appearance. Low seed set translates to greater flower power and less persistence in the garden. The densely mounded habit of Campfire® Marshmallow bidens makes it less of a mixer in containers and more of a showpiece on its own. It is most eye-catching when planted en masse in well-drained soil. It occupies a similar niche as Coreopsis in landscape designs but is much longer blooming with no deadheading required.
