Additional Information about Ficus carica 'Hardy Chicago'

Ornamental, multi-stemmed shrub or small tree. 'Hardy Chicago' can freeze to the ground and fruit the next season on new growth. Fruit is purplish-brown with strawberry pink flesh and can be harvested in late summer and early fall.

Fruits best in average, dry soil where vigor is somewhat restrained.
