This evergreen, slowly spreading fern bears fronds that unfold in shades of coppery-red and bronze-green. Mature fronds are deep shiny green. Prefers rich, moist, humus soil.

Foliage emerges yellow with orange centers, transitions to solid yellow-green in summer, and then gets some orange color again in fall. Pink blossoms on slender stalks rise above the foliage in late spring. Gorgeous!

Vigorous with larger than usual two-toned amber flowers that dance on thin stems in spring while small heart-shaped leaves emerge with a rosy blush that matures to green and then responds to the cool of autumn with a blush of orange.
