Mexican Feather Grass

Very finely textured, lime-green foliage with light tan seed heads emerging in May, this native grass is beautiful naturalized in meadows, planted on slopes for erosion, as a specimen in a rock garden or as an element in mixed container plantings. A cool season grower similar to Fescue, it is also called Stipa tenuissima.
